| How do I conceive a “Zukunftswerkstätte”
(future factory) ? As a place permeated by a circulation of ideas and
“productions”, intersections of various cultural dimensions,
in which scientific and daily questions are the agenda. The starting point of this work is to provide a visual correlation to this “ philosophy”. In practice I start from the cylindrical
aeration tube that is present in one of the rooms. I “multiply”
it by constructing cardboard tubes with the same diameter as the original
(32cm), and arrange them in order to create connections between both
the various rooms of the “Zukunftswerkstätte”, and
between the interior and exterior. This dynamics of circulation is
accentuated by two videos, created using a free interpretation of
the mathematical model described before (p. 6-8). Abstract fields
of forces, (video left) are juxtaposed to letters overcoming linear
mechanisms of writing (video right). |
